This ad by FedEx seems to describe today’s political climate quite well. While I had seen it before, it was not until Roll Call placed it back to back with other adds did it truly hit the nail on the head.
Perhaps it is time for both sides to take a step back and run for something, as opposed to against the other candidate. Sure, the campaigning negativity hasn’t been as bad as when Grover Cleveland ran, but is that something truly to strive for? No one wins when the argument is that the other person is worse; the bar starts too low.
